My name is hard to pronounce, and it's always stressful to correct a teacher's pronounciation on the first day.

Would you be open to sending out a name pronounciation survey to the whole class - I think it would make everyone feel more comfortable. You could use google forms or voiceform.

If you go by different pronouns than your peers, this is a great place to mention that, or clarify what names to call you in front of your parents vs. with your friends. You can send an anonymous email asking for a pronoun survey here or just add a sentence to this email if you're comfortable.
